Lately, I haven’t been playing WoW as much. After power-leveling 9 toons to level 60 (and some to 80 with maxed out professions), I’m a little tired. Last night, I ran old school Stratholme many, many, many times for Large Brillant Shards and Abomination Stitchings for my husband’s rep grind towards his ‘Insane in the Membrane Achievement‘. All I can say is Good Job for people who do have the achievement, you are truly insane. For my brain goes completely dead at the thought of how much work you have to do to get that achievement. Anyways, I figured I’d do some PvP with some friends before I stopped playing WoW for the night. I logged onto my level 70 priest and grouped with my best friends’ level 75 shaman and level 79 paladin. We queued up and entered Warsong Gulch after about a 9 minute wait. I have never felt so powerful in PvP. I always loved PvP Healing especially on my gimpy priest who wears cloth. There was a 77 hunter with 25K health! I was a level 70 priest and some how I am surviving against multiple level 77+ characters. I also got the most returns for our flag. It was really intense with the back-and-forth flag pickup. As soon as we picked up the Alliance flag, they would have our Horde Flag. As soon as we returned our flag, they would return theirs.
I’m not sure how but we won with the score of 3 to 0. It was the first time my heart raced so much since I did Arenas back in Burning Crusade with my PvE geared priest who at the time had 7K hitpoints going against people in Season 2 & 3 gear. AH! This is why I don’t really enjoy PvP. I feel like I can die of a heartattack with how much my heart races. I also have a personality change and end up cursing like a sailor unintentionally. I must say though, I really enjoyed myself last night. I especially enjoyed it because my son ended up going to bed around 6pm instead of his usual 9:30pm bedtime. Those extra 2 1/2 hours of peace and quiet were just what I needed. Currently, I am just slowly leveling Alts by keeping my hubby company as he is running Stratholme, Scholomance, and Dire Maul East. Occasionally, pvping on my priest to spend time with some of my best friends and a break from dungeons 🙂
