In my last post, I stated that I was recovering from an unplanned surgery to remove an benign ovarian cyst. It was my first surgery that I’ve ever had done and I was pretty nervous about it. I felt like I was in an episode of ‘House’ because I originally came into the Emergency Room because my right side would cramp up so tight that I couldn’t breathe and be in excruciating pain. That started from me laughing at a documentary about the 2nd movie of the 1980 Nightmare on Elm Street series. Doctors thought it was my gallbladder filled with stones because that’s where the cramping hurt the most. Ultrasound and Xray showed my gallbladder (and organs around it) were fine. It wasn’t until a doctor order a CT scan and it showed a 7.5cm (about 3 inches) cyst in my right ovary. I had to be transferred to another hospital because there wasn’t an OB/GYN at the hospital I was currently at. They did an ultrasound on my reproductive system to confirm the size and location. Even though ovarian cysts are normal and part of women’s cycle that go away on their own, some cysts don’t go away on their own. The doctor told me I had two choices: Wait a month to see if it goes away and I’d be given pain pills during that time, or go have the surgery. I decided for the surgery.
My husband was great during the whole process of it. Never leaving my side especially when he was starving for some food. I had a doctor’s appointment yesterday to show the doctors how well I am doing at recovering. It was a PAIN in the a$$ trying to find the place. I never realized how many rooms and offices there are in a hospital. The doctor recommended me to ease back into my normal activities, because my abdominal muscles are still sore. This means that I cannot pick up my son (UGH), but I can at least hold him if someone handed him to me. I have to go back to the doctor’s office in about 4 weeks.
As for World of Warcraft, I’ve been playing my mage who is speced Arcane (Arcane Blast hence the title of this post). I am just loving not having to sit and drink every couple of mobs that I kill. She is currently level 72, which means YAY! Teleport to Dalaran. Two more levels and I can port other people to Dalaran. I am not loving the fact that I still can only conjure level 64 water. I better get new water by 74, or I’m going to be irritated. I’m also top damage and DPS in almost every dungeon I’m in. Of course, I have been beaten by a warrior tank. With each new dungeon, I’m slowly learning what it takes to be a good tank for my other characters. Warriors and Paladins especially. Druids are just insane, at least low level they are. I haven’t really tanked on my druid, warrior, or paladin since the patch came out. I really need to hurry and get my mage to level 80 so I can try to get some gear on my priest before Cataclysm comes out.
Aside from WoW and into real life, I also got a new computer desk yesterday! It was on sale for about $40 from OfficeMax, Regular price was about $100. I absolutely love it for the price ^_^. Plans for this week is to speak and submit paperwork with a financial consultant from the hospital, the financial aid people at my college. Other than that, I’m just excited for Thanksgiving and to see the new movies coming out this winter. I almost melted at the store yesterday when I smelled the aroma of fresh baked pumpkin pie at the bakery (/drool). I’m also planning on going to my friend’s wedding in December. My classes for college are not starting till about January, so I’m definitely excited about that. I took a stroll down memory lane and played some Runescape for a week. Uhh…that’s about it.
Now to WoW….
